Cancellation policy

Jammbak Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy is established in compliance with Article 9 of Federal Law No. 15/2020 on Consumer Protection, which requires clear disclosure of cancellation terms. 

By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

 1. Overview

As a multi-vendor marketplace, cancellation depends on order processing status and seller handling time.

Two cancellation windows:

  • 0–24 hours: Automated cancellation
  • After 24 hours: Manual review, not guaranteed

 2. The 24-Hour Cancellation Window

You may cancel for a full refund if:

  • Request submitted within 24 hours of order placement
  • Order not yet marked "Processing" or "Shipped"

How it works: Automatic cancellation. Refund within 5-7 business days.

 3. Cancellations After 24 Hours

Manual review with possible outcomes:

  • Request Accepted: Seller agrees to cancel if not yet processed/shipped.
  • Request Declined: Seller has packed/processed/shipped item. Order is final; follow Return Policy after delivery.

 4. How to Cancel an Order

Method 1: Self-Service (Recommended)

  1. Log into your Jammbak account
  2. Go to "My Orders"
  3. Click "Cancel Order" and select reason

Method 2: Contact Customer Service

  • Email: happiness@jammbak.ae
  • Subject: "CANCELLATION REQUEST – Order #[YourOrderNumber]"
  • Include order number and reason

 5. Refund Timeline for Canceled Orders

  1. Notification: Confirmation email sent
  2. Processing: Signal sent to payment provider
  3. Credit:
    • Credit/Debit Cards: 5–7 business days
    • Digital Wallets: 2–5 business days
    • Bank Transfers: 3–7 business days

Note: Bank processing times vary.

 6. Non-Cancellable Orders

You cannot cancel:

  • Shipped Items: Tracking number generated
  • Custom/Personalized Items: Production begun
  • Digital Goods: Delivered electronically

For shipped items, refer to Return Policy.

Deposit Note: In accordance with Article 148 of UAE Civil Code, if a deposit was paid with explicit agreement that it is non-refundable upon cancellation, such deposit may be forfeited. 

 7. Cancellation by Jammbak or Sellers

We reserve the right to cancel orders due to:

  • Technical Errors: Pricing or description errors
  • Stock Unavailability: Item unexpectedly out of stock
  • Fraud Prevention: Security flags

Full refund issued immediately.

 8. Buyer-Initiated Cancellation vs. Rejection

If cancellation is rejected, you are obligated to accept delivery. Refusing package without authorized return may result in lost item and no refund.
